Dolanji Bon Monastery

Bon Monastery in Solan holds the distinction of being the second oldest Bon monastery globally, revered deeply by the Bon community. The Bon community predates Buddhism, sharing similar principles. Situated atop a hill, the monastery offers breathtaking views of the town and snow-capped mountains.

This grand spectacle features well-maintained gardens and an impressive statue of Tonpa Shenrab Miwoche. Established in 1969 by Abbot Lungtog Tenpai Nyima, the monastery is led by Menri Trizin. Visitors engage in religious ceremonies, and it's customary to walk clockwise around the monastery as part of a ritual.
